As a proud dog dad, I founded Bark & Grille at the intersection of science, sustainability, a deep commitment to animal health, and love for all things dogs!
As a graduate student in Animal Science at Iowa State University specializing in meat science, my work is grounded in understanding how ingredients, processing, and nutrition directly impact the health and well-being of our pets.
Growing up in rural Nebraska, I know how important agriculture is in providing safe and sustainable food for us and our pets. My pets have always been at the center of my life, and I have continued this as I expanded my love to other's pets. I have over four years of experience working in the veterinary field, so I know how important the food we feed our pets is to their health.
Through my work in university laboratories and collaboration with industry partners, I have studied protein functionality, processing effects, and quality attributes that are essential to producing safe, nutritious, and high-performing pet food. I have also applied advanced analytical techniques to better understand how processing influences nutrient availability and product performance.
The future of pet nutrition must be rooted in scientific integrity, transparency, and continuous innovation.
Bark & Grille reflects that philosophy. Every product is developed with a science-first approach, prioritizing high-quality ingredients, nutritional precision, and a commitment to improving the lives of pets and their owners. My goal is not just to create pet food, but to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of animal nutrition and the standards of our industry.
